GREENSBORO, N.C. — Some organizations here in Greensboro are doing their part to support federal workers not being paid during the government shutdown.
Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association are serving free lunch to federal workers at five different locations throughout the state, including here in Greensboro.
Terrell Clark and his wife are one of several volunteers helping. The couple drove six hours from Alabama to Greensboro to use their cooking skills to give back. The Clark’s have been volunteers with Samaritan’s Purse for the past three years. Monday they were busy making sandwiches and serving soup to federal employees who are still working without a paycheck…
