State of Guilford County: Addressing growth and food insecurity

Guilford County Board of Commissioners Chairman Melvin “Skip” Alston delivered the 2025 State of the County Address on Thursday, Oct. 30, on the second floor of the Old County Courthouse.

Alston’s remarks centered on the theme “One Guilford: Measuring Our Success, Planning Our Future,” highlighting how data-driven decision-making, strategic investments, and community partnerships are shaping a stronger, more resilient county.
