PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — A strong cold front is moving through this evening which has sparked some showers and thunderstorms. Get the winter coats prepared because you’re going to need them Monday and Tuesday.

That means our feels-like temperatures will be in the low to mid 30s throughout the day Monday.

Plus, snow is expected in the mountains starting Monday evening as temperatures begin to drop. In the Triad, a few flakes can’t be entirely ruled out. However, the chance is very low due to a pocket of dry air that will likely block any flakes from falling. Just don’t be surprised if you see a few flurries able to escape the dry air aloft Monday evening/night. No impacts from the possible few snow flurries, just could be an exciting sight for some…
