North Carolina Farmers market vendors brace for freeze warning

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A freeze warning was issued for all of central North Carolina from Monday at 8 p.m. until 9 a.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service, and it has vendors at the State Farmers Market are bracing for the cold.

Over at the Swift Creek Nursery, horticulturist Phil Beaumont told CBS 17 he’s planning on putting blankets over more tender plants on Monday night.

Beaumont says he’s also using the cold weather to his benefit as they prepare to wrap up for the fall season…
