The City of Greensboro will begin demolishing buildings at 1004-1028 John Dimrey Drive during the week of November 17, 2025. The work will prepare the site for a new housing development. The demolition is expected to take about two months. Residents may notice more construction traffic during this time.
Before demolition, the Greensboro Fire and Police Departments and the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office will hold training exercises at the site from November 12 to November 16. In September 2025, the City Council approved the sale of the land to Prosperity Alliance and True Homes. The plan is to build 15 single-family homes.
