Greensboro attorney raises concerns over Border Patrol tactics, urges residents to know their rights during encounters

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Border Patrol said its mission is straightforward: find people accused of crimes and remove public safety threats.

Greensboro civil rights attorney, Jason Keith, said that purpose, finding people accused of crimes, is real, but the methods have raised concerns for many.

“They are enforcing the federal laws and regulations of immigration in our country. There are people that have come into our country undocumented and there are some that would argue that those undocumented persons are the ones contributing to the higher crime rate and they’re also harder to prosecute, they’re also harder to locate,” civil rights attorney with NextGen Law Group, Keith said…
