GREENSBORO, N.C. — Your oven is about to get a workout. Thanksgiving is the eating holiday. If your oven isn’t clean, you run the risk of setting your oven on fire while you’re preparing the Thanksgiving meal.
“Generally, you want to run the self-clean cycle as far ahead as you can before a big cooking event like Thanksgiving or the holidays. So, make sure to run it well in advance of anything like that and before it gets so cruddy that it’s going to smoke you out of the house if you do run it,” said Paul Hope, Consumer Reports.
