Man charged in 2 separate murders in Guilford County in 1 week

GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A man is in custody and accused of murder in two separate shootings that occurred just one week apart from each other, according to Guilford County law enforcement agencies.

Deadly Greensboro Shooting

At around 7:48 p.m. on Nov. 16, the Greensboro Police Department came to the 1500 block of Upland Drive in Greensboro after getting a report of a disorder.

At the scene, police found 27-year-old Joaquin Gabriel Hernandez suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital by EMS, where he later died.

Initially, no suspect was identified in the deadly shooting, which was the 33rd homicide of the year in Greensboro.
