Greensboro Residents Invited to December Sessions on Police Chief Search

Greensboro is preparing for the retirement of Police Chief John Thompson. He will step down in February 2026 after 23 years of service. The city has hired Developmental Associates to conduct a national search for his replacement. City officials are seeking community feedback during the selection process.

Two community sessions are scheduled in December 2025 to gather input from residents.
