ASHEBORO, N.C. — Asheboro police were busy this past holiday. The department posted photos to social media saying, “Crime doesn’t take a day off for Thanksgiving, and neither do our officers.”
According to the post, an officer tried to stop a car for suspected impaired driving on 1-73/I-74, the driver refused to stop therefore a chase began. It ended around Pineview Road and Lazy Pine Road when the suspect car ran off the road and hit two trees.
The driver was then arrested for several traffic offenses and drug violations. The post says this is also a DWI investigation…
