PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Early Black Friday shoppers will have to bundle up this morning! We have clear skies that will stay around all day, and temperatures will also remain very cold for this time of year. The average high temperature on this date is 57°, but today’s high is only going to make it to 43°! This unseasonably cold weather will stay around into the middle of next week.
Mostly clear skies are ahead for the overnight hours, and it will be bitterly cold. Lows are expected to be in the lower-20s in the Triad, and teens for smaller, outlying communities. Please take care of any pets that have to be outdoors to ensure they are safe and warm tonight.
Small Business Saturday will be chilly once again, with highs in the mid-40s under partly cloudy skies. An approaching low-pressure system will cross Tennessee tomorrow, then head into North Carolina on Sunday. We will have a 50% chance of showers Sunday afternoon and evening, and highs will stay in the mid-40s. Rainfall totals will be quite low, at or less than 0.10″.
The work week is going to start with pretty weather! Monday is going to be partly cloudy with highs in the mid-40s. Monday night, however, rain moves in as another low-pressure system barrels into the Piedmont from the south. There is an 80% chance of rain on Monday night, and a 60% chance of chilly showers on Tuesday. Unlike Sunday’s system, this one will bring up to an inch of measurable rainfall. Tuesday highs will be in the lower-40s…
