NWS predicts chance of wintry mix Friday

There is a chance for a wintry mix on Friday, but the National Weather Service in Raleigh says it is too early to lock in specific impacts.

The morning briefing today says that the snowfall potential is 1 inch or more, with the highest probabilities in the northwest portion of the state along the Virginia line, including a 43 percent chance in Mt. Airy and a 30 percent chance in Danville, Virginia.
