GREENSBORO, N.C. — Under a bridge off Randleman Road, a small encampment sits tucked out of sight. For many people experiencing homelessness, places like this become long-term shelter. For outreach worker Angie Parker, they are part of her daily route.
Parker is part of Greensboro’s Homeless Outreach Mobile Engagement program, known as GSO HOME.
Greensboro’s website says that the program “provides intervention and service coordination to high-risk or hard-to-reach unsheltered residents in Greensboro through collaborations with the community and other City departments.”…
