Amy Washburn, an investigative analyst with the Greensboro Police Department (GPD), recently participated in a holiday event at GPD headquarters. Washburn and her husband, Wayne, dressed as Mr. and Mrs. Claus and visited the office. Washburn has worked for the city for 21 years, and many staff members recognized her in this new role.
Washburn has lived in several places but says Greensboro’s community spirit is strong during the holiday season. Her colleagues, who know her for her work and professionalism, responded positively to her participation in the event.
Washburn recently moved into a new position as an investigative analyst of property crimes after four years as a crime analyst. She analyzes trends in crimes such as shoplifting and auto theft, supporting officers in their investigations.
