(WGHP) — We have officially observed one of the warmest Christmas Eves on record in the Triad with afternoon highs reaching the low 70s for only the fourth time on record (on this day).
As we head through the rest of the evening, temperatures will be falling through the 60s and into the 50s by 8 p.m. Clouds will also begin rolling in this evening. We’ll see partly to mostly cloudy skies move in overnight.

Christmas morning will start off in the mid-40s with mostly cloudy skies. A mix of sun and clouds stick around for Christmas day, and afternoon highs reach the upper 60s. A few spotty showers are possible in the afternoon. However, the majority of us will remain dry. The chance for rain is 20%.
