Honoring the life of a hero: Two years after the death of Greensboro Sgt. Philip Dale Nix

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Tuesday marks two years since Greensboro police Sgt. Philip Dale Nix was shot and killed trying to stop a crime while off duty. Though time has passed, his impact on the Greensboro Police Department and the community remains strong.

Nix was killed at a Sheetz gas station in Greensboro while intervening in a crime.
