Local reggae venue hosts fundraiser for Hurricane Mellissa victims

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Two months after Hurricane Melissa devastated parts of Jamaica, local community members are still stepping up to help. On Friday night, more than 100 people gathered at Ziggy’s to raise funds and collect resources to send back to the island.

The event was organized by Vibin in Peace, a group focused on community outreach and unity. One of the organizers, Kevin Webb, experienced the storm firsthand while visiting Jamaica.
