Wake Forest needed to replenish the wide receiver room this offseason. They lost five scholarship receivers to the transfer portal (Chris Barnes, Ben Grice, Micah Mays, EJ Reid, Jackson Vick), while having three receivers exhaust their eligibility (Sterling Berkhalter, Karate Brenson, Sawyer Racanelli).
They struck quickly in the portal, adding Duke wideout Chase Tyler, who announced on instagram he was committing to Wake after an official visit on Sunday.
A 6-foot-2, 200 pound athlete from Hiram, Ga, Tyler was seen as a massive win in the 2024 class for the Blue Devils. He chose them over offers from the like of Florida, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Tennesee, and Ole Miss amongst others.
