Man shot during struggle with Greensboro police released from hospital, charged

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Greensboro man shot during a struggle with police last month has been released from the hospital and is now facing multiple felony charges, according to Greensboro police.

Police said Avery Long, 35, was released from a local hospital Monday. After his release, Long was charged with felony breaking and entering, resisting a public officer, and assault on a government employee. Online court records show he was given a $10,000 unsecured bond, which has since been posted.
