Man faces charges in separate domestic violence cases in Greensboro, High Point: Police

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A 31-year-old man is facing multiple charges stemming from two separate domestic violence incidents involving different victims in Greensboro and High Point, police said.

Greensboro police arrested Jackie Dontrel Watson on Monday on charges that include assault by strangulation, felony child abuse and misdemeanor domestic violence. In a separate case, Watson is also charged with assault inflicting serious injury and two counts of misdemeanor child abuse, according to arrest warrants.

In the Greensboro incident, investigators allege Watson used both hands to strangle a woman, restricting her airway to the point she could not speak or make noise until he released his grip. Officers reported visible redness in the woman’s eyes, which they cited as evidence of physical injury…
