ASHEBORO, N.C. — Asheboro police removed several threats from city streets over the weekend, arresting a home intruder, multiple drug offenders, and several impaired drivers.
Dasean Antonio Nicholson, 30, broke into an occupied home on Old Liberty Road but fled when confronted by a family member. Officers later located him walking on N. Fayetteville Street, where he resisted arrest. He was charged with first-degree burglary, trespassing, and resisting arrest. No bond was issued, police said.
In a separate series of law enforcement actions, Dominique Charles Tasker, 22, was arrested for possessing a stolen Glock handgun from Charlotte and carrying a concealed weapon. Other individuals were charged with carrying concealed firearms, possessing methamphetamine, and alcohol-related offenses.
