HIGH POINT, N.C. — The City of High Point has just rolled out its plans for new affordable housing units in the next five years. Members of the Community Development Committee announced the plans at a scheduled meeting on Jan. 6.
City officials say 5,000 housing units will be developed as part of High Point’s 2045 comprehensive plan. The new strategy is meant to address rising housing costs, aging housing stock, expiring affordability and housing gaps.
