Winston-Salem seamstress leaves legacy after flu death

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — Many people in Winston-Salem knew Pauline McCoy Roberts Barbour simply as “Miss Polly.”

She operated Polly’s Patchwork, later Polly’s Alterations, for decades, serving thousands of people as a self-taught seamstress.
