(WGHP) — Showers move into the Piedmont Triad throughout Friday evening.
Periods of rainfall will continue off and on throughout the overnight hours and into Saturday. Temperatures this evening fall into the upper 50s and remain there overnight.
We’ll wake up Saturday morning with temperatures in the upper 50s and cloudy skies. Rain will continue off and on into the afternoon and evening with embedded thunderstorms possible. A better chance for some storms into the afternoon with temperatures in the upper 60s. Ahead of an approaching cold front, a few stronger storms are possible before rain tapers off into Saturday evening. The main threat with any stronger storms is damaging winds. Outside of thunderstorms, the winds will also be strong out of the southwest at 10 to 20 mph, and gusts up to 40 mph are possible…
