Expect temperatures in 40s Sunday in the Piedmont Triad

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — A few spotty showers remain possible this evening as temperatures slowly fall through the 60s. We could also see the occasional strong wind gust up to 30 mph.

Back-to-back cold fronts move through Saturday night and Sunday morning which will bring a big change in our weather to end the weekend. The warmest we’ll be on Sunday will be in the early morning hours before the majority of us wake up and temperatures will be dropping throughout the afternoon. Generally, temperatures will be in the 40s on Sunday before falling into the 30s by the evening. Skies will be mostly sunny and it’ll be windy. Northwest winds of 15 to 25 mph with wind gusts up to 40 mph possible. Because of the winds, temperatures will feel like the 30s in the afternoon and the 20s by the evening.

Sunshine and colder temperatures continue into Monday with morning lows in the mid-20s and highs reaching the upper 40s. Tuesday morning will start in the upper 20s and afternoon highs will warm into the mid-50s…
