Greensboro firefighters rescue cat on roof with Doritos bag stuck on head

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A stray cat was rescued from the roof of a house at a Greensboro construction site after a Doritos bag became stuck over his head, prompting concerns he may have been unable to breathe, officials said.

Animal Control officers responded to a call about the cat and found him on top of the building with the bag covering his head and no visible movement. Officers said it was unclear whether the animal was frozen in fear or in distress.

The Greensboro Fire Department’s Station 20 was called to assist. Firefighters climbed onto the roof, where the cat began to move as they approached. Crews safely removed the bag, secured the cat in a carrier and brought him down without injury…
