More than 400 roosters were recovered Wednesday during an investigation into “one of the largest” organized cockfighting rings in Forsyth County, the county sheriff’s office said in a news release.
Deputies uncovered hundreds of caged roosters, one kilo of cocaine, multiple firearms and cash after being called to a Winston-Salem home for an animal welfare check, officials stated.
