Pedestrian killed in deadly hit-and-run in Greensboro, found nearly 11 hours later

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that killed a pedestrian near NC 68, authorities said.

Officers, along with Greensboro Fire and Guilford County EMS, were called around 7:33 a.m. Saturday to the area of NC 68 near Gallimore Dairy Road after reports of a person lying near the roadway. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
