LEXINGTON, N.C. — On Day 85 of their Peace Walk, Buddhist monks began their morning in Linwood on Sunday before heading toward Lexington and Thomasville.
The group typically starts walking between 6:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. each day. Organizers said it was a special moment to see community members arriving early to greet the monks before their departure.
