WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Northbound Peters Creek Parkway is closed at Clemmonsville Road after a vehicle struck the underside of the overpass, sending concrete debris onto the roadway, police said.
The Winston-Salem Police Department and Fire Department responded to reports of debris on the parkway beneath the Clemmonsville Road bridge. Investigators believe an unknown vehicle hit the bridge, causing a large amount of concrete to fall onto northbound lanes.
Additional pieces of concrete remain hanging and could fall, prompting authorities to shut down both northbound lanes, police said…
