Burt Myers returning to Team AmeriVet to run Clash at Bowman Gray

For the second year in a row, Bowman Gray Stadium legend Burt Myers will compete against NASCAR’s best in the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray.

On Tuesday, Team AmeriVet announced that Myers will drive the team’s No. 50 Chevrolet at Bowman Gray in the exhibition event.

Myers, a 10-time track champion at Bowman Gray, failed to make the Clash in 2025 after an incident with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. during his heat race. He’s hoping to flip the script this season by racing his way into the Clash in his heat race (Jan. 31) or the last chance qualifier (Feb. 1) before the Clash itself on the evening of Feb. 1.

The 50-year-old driver from Walnut Cove, N.C., is a local legend in Winston-Salem and one of the best short track racers in the Southeast.
