Elon Picks Up Singles Win Against No. 11 Texas A&M

WINSTON-SALEM – Sophomore Rafael Ymer picked up a ranked singles win Wednesday as the Elon men’s tennis team (1-2) fell in a 6-1 decision against No. 11 Texas A&M (3-0) at the Wake Forest Tennis Center.

Ymer delivered Elon’s second ranked win of the spring and the first in singles, defeating Alexander Frusina, who is No. 73 in the current ITA rankings. The sophomore delivered a 6-4, 6-4 victory for Elon’s lone point of the contest.

The match was second straight for the Phoenix to come against a top-20 ranked opponent after playing No. 17 Duke last week. Elon finished with six victorious singles sets across the two contests…
