GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — After more than a decade in downtown Greensboro, Dame’s Chicken and Waffles has shut the doors on its Martin Luther King Jr. Drive location.
On Monday, the Durham-based restaurant announced that it was closing its Greensboro location effective that same day.

“This decision was not made easily,” the company said in a statement on Facebook. “We know the impact it has on our team and our supporters, and that is what makes this moment so painful. What we will always hold closest is the people. Our staff made Dame’s more than a restaurant. They filled it with warmth, pride, laughter, and soul, and this closure is in no way a reflection of their dedication or talent.
“To our guests and community, thank you for 12 incredible years of patronage, love, and fandom. We truly had a great run, and we are deeply grateful for every meal shared, every smile, and every memory…
