GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Getting the diving gear ready for another round of winter weather, hoping no one walks on a frozen body of water, First Lieutenant David W. Cook is a part of the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office Underwater Recovery Team.
He says over the years he’s responded to several rescues and tragedies.
“I remember two such incidents that we were directly involved in. Plus last year we recovered somebody that drove a car into a pond and unfortunately drowned,” Cook said…
