Winston-Salem, NC – As winter weather moves into the Piedmont Triad this weekend, Forsyth County officials are urging residents to stay off the roads and remain indoors if possible due to dangerous icy conditions.
According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO), ice—not snow—is the primary concern as temperatures hover near freezing, increasing the risk of slick roads, bridges, and overpasses throughout Forsyth County and the greater Winston-Salem area.
