High Point neighborhood works together to clear roads: ‘Chain reaction’

HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — One neighborhood in High Point didn’t want to wait around for the plows to come to them, so they decided to take matters into their own hands.

On one dead-end street along Brinkley Place, neighbors decided to plow their own street on Sunday.

The neighbors said that about 13 people shoveled together for hours, all the way down to the bare pavement. They said city crews take much longer to reach residential streets like Brinkley Place, so the neighbors decided to do the hard work themselves…
