Winston-Salem police ask for community’s help solving deadly shooting investigation from December

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem police are asking for the public’s help as they continue investigating a deadly shooting that happened late last year.

Officers responded to a reported shooting around 10:58 p.m. on December 27, 2025, at a home on North Cherry Street. When they arrived, they found two people who’d been shot. One of the victims, 21-year-old Antoni Rodriguez-Lopez, later died at the hospital. A second male victim survived with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives say about 40 people were at a gathering at the home when the shooting happened. Investigators believe someone fired shots from the northbound lanes of University Parkway, near West 20th Street, but they have not identified a suspect…
