Small chance of snow flurries Sunday in the Piedmont Triad

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Our chilly and windy (but winter storm-free) weekend will continue overnight and into the very early part of your Sunday. Temperatures tonight will dip into the mid-teens and wind chill values in the single digits at times.

Winds will subside on Sunday and we will also have more cloud cover than we did on Saturday. There is also a very small chance that some could see a few flurries or brief snow shower before the early afternoon, but we should remain problem-free. If you see anything, it would be light and brief. Sunday temperatures will only warm into the mid 30s, a very chilly afternoon!

Better news by Monday as temperatures climb back into the middle 40s with lots of sunshine, upper 50s to low 60s by Tuesday and Wednesday! I think there will be a lot of people doing a happy dance from those warm temperatures. That will also go a long way in melting remaining snow and ice that continues to be a problem in some areas…
