J. Cole makes nostalgic return to NC A&T, sells The Fall Off out of his trunk

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Grammy-winning rapper Jermaine Cole, known professionally as J. Cole, surprised students at North Carolina A&T State University Saturday by selling CDs of his latest album, The Fall Off, during an impromptu campus visit.

In a post on X, Cole said the first time he ever sold a physical copy of a full project was during North Carolina A&T’s homecoming, when he sold CDs for $1 out of the trunk of his car. He arrived on campus driving his old Honda Civic.

Cole, a Fayetteville native, sold a number of signed copies of the album, drawing hundreds of students and fans to the university for a chance to see him and receive a signed CD…
