High Point man charged with death by distribution in fentanyl overdose case

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office charged a High Point man in connection with a fentanyl overdose death last summer.

The investigation began in June 2025 after deputies found an adult dead inside a Davidson County home. Investigators say an autopsy confirmed the victim died from a fentanyl overdose. The sheriff’s office said detectives identified 44-year-old Franklin Junior White as the person who gave the drugs to the victim.
