The Kontoor Building– home to Wrangler and Lee brands– is located at 400 North Elm Street. These brands have connections to Greensboro dating back to the early 19th century. This location, built in 1958, is Kontoor’s central hub for executive management in North America. The European headquarters is in Switzerland, and the Asia Pacific headquarters is in Hong Kong. In 1947 production of Wrangler jeans began in Greensboro at Blue Bell, Inc. In the early 2000s, production shifted overseas to Mexico, Bangladesh, Vietnam, India, and Nicaragua.
