GREENSBORO, N.C. — E-scooter speeds in downtown Greensboro will be temporarily reduced late at night beginning March 1 as part of a new safety measure announced by the City of Greensboro and micromobility company Bird.
Under the change, Bird scooters will be limited to 10 mph between 1 and 2 a.m., down from the usual 15 mph, in response to riding and usage patterns observed by the Greensboro Police Department.
