Dozens of horses killed in devastating fire at Callicutt Stables in Seagrove

SEAGROVE, N.C. (WGHP) — A Sunday fire at a stable in Seagrove has left dozens of horses dead, according to Randolph County Emergency Services.

At 12:48 p.m. on Sunday, firefighters responded to a barn fire at Callicutt Stables on the 8700 block of S. 220 in Seagrove, by Seagrove Family Restaurant.

“One day it’s a big beautiful barn that’s been here for almost seven years, and then you walk up, and it’s just ashes,” said Sara Andrews, owner of Seagrove Family Restaurant.
