GREENSBORO, N.C. — To say folks are not happy with the new valuation of their homes in Guilford County would be an understatement. The notices went out on Monday, and by Thursday, 800 homeowners had appealed their home valuation to the Guilford County Tax Department.
“Monday may be the peak day for calls and emails. We’re gonna jump right on those informal appeals, and they, they should be hearing something right away from us, possibly as soon as next week,” said Ben Chavis, Guilford County Tax Department Director.
