CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The National Association of Letter Carriers of Charlotte and Greensboro rallied to advocate for better wages, fair contracts and protection of the United States Postal Service in south Charlotte.
The “Fight Like Hell!” rallies were a nationwide day of action to draw attention to the everyday threats that thousands of postal workers face on the job and to demand fair contracts to combat staffing shortages.
“We deserve first class pay for the first class service we provide to the American public,” Sylvan Stevens with NALC said. “The changes with the postal service is fast-coming. With the decrease of first-class letter mail, packages are at an increase, and with that comes more workload.”…
