OAK RIDGE, N.C. (WGHP) — The centuries‑old, water‑powered gristmill tucked along N.C. 68, known for its turning wheel and stone‑ground staples, is officially on the market.
Longtime owners Darrell and Amy Klug are preparing for their next chapter. After 17 years of restoring, operating, and nurturing the historic landmark, the couple is ready to pass the mill to someone who will honor its past and carry its traditions forward.
“Whoever buys it, we have to be comfortable they can make the business a success. They keep the site a success,” Darrell Klug said.
