Greensboro gets $3 million to remove forever chemicals from drinking water

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A major step toward making your drinking water safer.

North Carolina Governor Josh Stein announced nearly half a billion dollars in funding for water infrastructure upgrades across the state.

Most of that money will go to western North Carolina for repairs tied to Hurricane Helene. But Greensboro and Winston-Salem are also getting funding to help improve drinking water systems.
