HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — Norma Knight, of High Point, likes to pick her own numbers playing Powerball, and her strategy paid off Monday with a $100,000 win.
“I choose my numbers based on birthdays and anniversaries,” she said. “I’ve played the same numbers for years.”

Knight bought her winning $3 ticket online. She matched the numbers on four white balls and the red Powerball to win $50,000. Because she bought a Power Play ticket, her prize doubled to $100,000 when the 2X multiplier hit.
“I was like, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me,’” Knight said. “I yelled for my husband to come take a look at it.”…
