Former News & Record property acquired for Greensboro city center redevelopment

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A 6.65-acre parcel in downtown Greensboro, formerly home to the News & Record, has been purchased by Center City Investors, LLC, a partnership created by the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro’s Real Estate Management Fund.

The acquisition aims to support the ongoing revitalization of the city’s urban core and expand development into the east side of downtown.

Center City Investors, LLC includes several foundations and local individuals, including the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, the Joseph M. Bryan Foundation, the Cemala Foundation, Durant and Mary Katherine Bell, Megan Oglesby, Matt Penley, and Mark Penley.
