PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Clear skies overnight Saturday into Sunday morning will allow temperatures to fall into the low 40s. A few clouds will still be present throughout the day Sunday and afternoon highs will be able to reach the low 70s ahead of an approaching cold front. By the evening, more clouds will start to roll in, leaving us with mostly cloudy skies Sunday night.
Monday looks to be a cold and gray day with morning lows in the upper 30s and highs in the mid 40s. The chance for rain is 50% and we’ll need to watch for the potential of freezing rain in some spots if temperatures aren’t able to warm up much throughout the day. As of right now, that chance is low; however, it is certainly something we’re continuing to watch. The majority of us will likely see a cold rain.
Lingering showers can’t be ruled out on Tuesday morning. Temperatures look to be in the mid 30s with highs reaching the mid 50s. Skies remain mostly cloudy…
